Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cron Habits app (the "Application"), a habit tracker application designed for mobile devices, developed by João Augusto Grobe Castilho (the "Developer" or "Service Provider"). The Application offers API-first functionality and is available as both an Open Source and Freemium service with additional features in the Cloud+ tier. Users have the option to self-host and own their data.

By downloading or using the Application, you agree to adhere to these Terms. We recommend that you review them carefully. Unauthorized usage, such as copying, modifying the Application, or its components, or infringing on our trademarks, is prohibited. Attempting to reverse engineer, translate, or create derivative works from the Application is also not allowed. All rights, titles, and interest in the Application, including intellectual property rights, belong to the Service Provider.

Usage and Features

The Service Provider is committed to ensuring that the Application remains useful and effective. However, we reserve the right to modify the Application, introduce charges, or discontinue its services as needed. Notice of any applicable charges will be communicated transparently.

Data Collection and Security

The Application collects and processes the following personal information to facilitate its service: email address, username, and IP address. Users are responsible for safeguarding their device and ensuring secure access to the Application. We advise against jailbreaking or rooting devices, as these actions can endanger your device's security and may impair the Application's functionality.

Limitations of Responsibility

The Application's operation depends on an active internet connection, supplied either by Wi-Fi or your mobile network. The Service Provider cannot be held liable for any issues related to lack of connectivity or data exhaustion.

Using the Application may incur data charges as stipulated by your mobile network provider, especially when used outside a Wi-Fi network or your home territory. Users accept any network-related charges and are advised to manage data usage carefully. The Service Provider is not accountable for situations such as device battery depletion affecting access to the service.

Updates and Service Changes

While we endeavor to keep the Application updated and accurate, the Service Provider relies on third-party information and cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all data. Consequently, no liability shall be assumed for losses incurred from reliance on the Application's features.

The Application may require updates to remain compatible with your device's operating system. Users agree to download updates as needed to continue using the service. The Service Provider may elect to discontinue the Application, notifying you as feasible. Upon termination, users must stop using the Application and delete it from their devices.

Changes and Modifications

The Service Provider may revise these Terms periodically. Users are encouraged to review the Terms regularly. Notifications of updates will be posted on this page.
